Can I pay in Swiss Francs?
Before placing your order, you can select your preferred currency in our online shop. The option to pay in Swiss Francs (CHF) is also available.
Is there a minimum order value?
To make fair precious metals accessible to all goldsmiths, we apply the following minimum order quantities:
- 3 g for gold products
- 20 g for silver products
The exact minimum quantities are listed with each product in the shop.
Transparency & Certification
Can I trace which mine the precious metals come from?
Yes. We are direct trading partners of Fairtrade and Fairmined certified mines.
This ensures our precious metals come exclusively from certified sources that are subject to regular, unannounced audits by independent bodies.
The entire supply chain is fully documented — from the mine to the final product. The originating mine is indicated on the product label after weighing and packaging.
Will I receive a certificate stating that the product was mined fairly?
Each delivery note specifies the standard under which the raw materials were sourced. This certifies the responsible origin of the product.
Shipping & Customs
How does shipping work?
Once your order is complete, we organize the shipment.
The shipment is registered with UPS or FedEx.
We provide all necessary documents electronically (commercial invoice, goods description, HS code, your tax number, and UPS or FedEx customer number if available).
After handover to the shipping provider, you will receive by email:
- tracking information
- the delivery note
- the final invoice
Packaging and sender details are neutral, and we use only sustainable packaging materials.
Will my order always arrive in one package?
Not necessarily. For insurance reasons, orders of higher value may be split into multiple packages.
What additional costs should I expect?
Your order will be shipped without German VAT.
The following costs will apply upon import into Switzerland:
- Import VAT (CH): 8.1%* of the goods value
- Customs clearance by UPS/FedEx: a handling fee of approx. €30–60*
- Shipping costs:
€79 flat fee (includes export handling, insurance, sustainable packaging)
Free shipping for orders above €5,000
How does the import process work?
UPS/FedEx handles the entire customs clearance process for you.
After delivery, you will receive a detailed invoice by email or post.
If you have a customer account with UPS/FedEx, the invoice will also be available online.
This invoice must be paid directly to the shipping provider.
Is the shipment insured?
Yes, Fairever assumes the risk during shipment until delivery.
Can I have my order delivered to a parcel station?
Direct delivery to parcel stations, post offices, or P.O. boxes is excluded for insurance reasons.
If delivery by UPS fails, the shipment will typically be held for pickup at a UPS Access Point for up to 7 business days.
Who can receive my shipment?
Delivery is not person-specific.
Any authorized recipient may accept the package with a signature.
When can I expect the package?
Delivery typically takes 1–3 business days after handover to the shipping provider.
The general terms and conditions of UPS or FedEx apply.
*All information provided without guarantee.
Payment
Can I transfer the invoice amount in Swiss Francs?
Yes, you can choose your preferred currency (including CHF) before placing your order in our online shop.
Important: Please select the correct currency before placing your order and verify it in your order confirmation.
When and how do I have to pay the invoices?
- First-time orders: Prepayment after receiving the pro forma invoice
- Existing customers: Payment by arrangement
Please transfer the full amount within 3 business days after receiving the pro forma or final invoice.
You will receive the bank details (in EUR or CHF) via the corresponding email.
The invoice for import VAT and processing fees from the shipping provider will be issued separately after delivery and must be paid directly to UPS or FedEx.
